Jason Davis – Founder & President

Jason Davis, based in Bloomington, IL, is a recognized leader in manufacturing engineering and the founder of TintedSun, LLC — a firm specializing in technical sales representation and engineering consulting for the electronics manufacturing industry. With over 20 years of hands-on experience solving complex technical and operational challenges, Jason blends systems thinking, engineering depth, and commercial strategy to help clients drive performance and reduce risk.


Jason’s career is deeply rooted in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry, where he has held leadership roles across engineering, technical sales, quoting, supply chain, and new product introduction. He has led initiatives for high-reliability electronics in the aerospace and defense sectors, supporting mission-critical programs through risk mitigation, process design, and strategic growth. His past executive roles include CAMtek, Zentech, and The Morey Corporation, with direct support to defense contractors including SAIC, Boeing, Raytheon, L3Harris, and DRS.


A Mechanical Engineer from Bradley University, Jason is known for operating equally well at the 50,000-foot strategic level and the five-foot tactical level. He quickly identifies gaps, assesses risk, and delivers actionable solutions across complex organizations. He brings a practical approach to driving manufacturability and margin by optimizing design handoffs, aligning documentation standards, and developing sourcing strategies that account for tariffs, lead times, and risk exposure.


He is certified in IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 and consults on AS9100 and ISO9001 quality systems. Jason is an active participant in IPC, the global authority on electronics assembly standards, and remains committed to advancing industry best practices through practical, real-world consulting engagements.
