Jason Davis, based in Bloomington, IL, is a recognized leader in manufacturing engineering and the founder of TintedSun, LLC.—an engineering consulting, risk management, and PCB sales firm. With over 20 years of hands-on experience solving complex technical and operational challenges, Jason brings a unique blend of systems thinking, engineering depth, and commercial strategy to the electronics manufacturing world, helping clients solve critical problems and improve bottom-line performance.

His career has been deeply rooted in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry, where he has held leadership roles across engineering, supply chain management, quoting, and new product introduction. Much of his work has focused on high-reliability electronics for the Aerospace and Defense sectors, leading risk management initiatives and securing new business for mission-critical programs. Jason has held key executive roles at CAMtek, Zentech, and The Morey Corp., and has directly supported programs for major defense contractors including SAIC, Boeing, Raytheon, L3Harris, and DRS.

A degreed Mechanical Engineer from Bradley University, Jason’s strengths go beyond technical execution—he excels in driving operational efficiency across multi-segment business environments. He’s known for operating equally well at the 50,000-foot strategic level and the 5-foot tactical level—able to quickly identify gaps, assess risks, and deliver targeted, actionable solutions.

He is certified in IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 and consults on AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems. His areas of expertise include Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis, drawing standardization, supply chain optimization, and tariff impact strategy.

Jason is an active participant in IPC, the global authority on electronics assembly standards, and remains committed to advancing industry best practices through practical, scalable solutions.
